Key Concepts:

Form:

The concept Form was used at the beginning of our Unit to encourage the students to talk about themselves and the things they like doing. We spoke about the characteristics of friendship and what it implies to be a friend (Social norms).

It helped us to focus on the students similarities and differences between them and point them out to the students; in other words: "Who am I and how am I similar or different to you".

 Function:

Once the children had shared information about themselves, they had the opportunity to find things in common and differences between themselves. We spoke about being respectful and tolerant towards differences.

Students learned to responsibilities of taking part of a relationship, with the main idea being that we need to have an active role in a relationship, such as being polite, be a good listener, share, etc.
